5 acres of Class One Vina Loam planted to Northern California Black Walnuts (NC Black) for the production of Paradox seeds. Approximately 6 mile (S) of Red Bluff, CA. Irrigation is provided by groundwater well with 30 Hp electric turbine motor and 20 Hp booster pump plus buried solid set irrigation system with Nelson R2000 rotators spaced 20’ x 40’. The orchard was planted around 1998. The east to west planting pattern is 5 rows of NC Black then a single row of Hartley. Tree spacing is 20’ x 20’. As the trees matured, some were removed to improve light infiltration and production. Some of the NC Black trees removed were grafted to Solano. Seller estimates average annual production at 450,000 seeds and Paradox percentage at 75%.
