Modesto, Calif., (February 13, 2017) – On February 14, 2017 the USDA will published in the Federal Register a Recommended Decision proposing that a California Federal Milk Marketing Order (FMMO) be established. An unpublished copy of the Recommended Decision is now available here.
AMS will hold a public meeting on February 22, 2017, in Clovis, to explain how the proposed California FMMO would operate and how the public can submit comments for USDA consideration. For those unable to attend the meeting in person, questions can be submitted until February 16 by emailing Californiainfo@ams.usda.gov.
Interested parties will have the opportunity to watch the meeting live via webcast and a recording will be posted to the AMS website. A transcript of the meeting will be made part of the record of the proceeding.
